Ferrosilicon prices rose slightly in China
In May, China's ferrosilicon prices were supported by some major ferrosilicon plants in May production cuts and strong demand from downstream magnesium plants, and the output in May was reduced by about half compared with April." Hainan West Asia Import and Export Group predicts that the mainstream price of 75%min of China's ferrosilicon this week still has some room to rise, but not much. The current mainstream price of 75 percent min of ferrosilicon in China is 140 yuan/ton ($20 / ton) higher than last Sunday, but demand is still weak so Hainansia expects ferrosilicon prices to remain stable in the next few days."
