China’s ferro chrome prices remain stable, with optimistic outlook
Ferro chrome prices in China remained stable as traders tried to suppress market offers, leading to reduced trading activity. The price of high-carbon ferro chrome in China is between RMB 8,650-8,850/ton (USD 1,213-1,241/ton). Meanwhile, medium-carbon ferro chrome prices are hovering around RMB 14,000-14,100/ton (US$1,963-1,977/ton). All prices listed include tax and are ex-factory.
In order to keep market prices strong, traders have reduced demand for Ferro chrome, which has kept prices steady this week.
China's chrome ore market remains stable. Prices are range-bound due to continued supply from South Africa. However, prices increased due to increased transportation costs for Turkish chrome ore (46-48%), which ranged from RMB 69-70/ton ($814-$825/t).
According to analysis by Hainan West Asia Group, the stainless steel market performed moderately, although demand did not improve as significantly as market participants expected. The cost is moderate, and there may be bargaining opportunities for some demand. Overall, China's Ferro chrome prices remain stable this week.
