Ferromolybdenum prices in EU continue to fall
Despite the seller's expectation and the driving force of China's price rise, the price of
molybdenum products in Europe fell again. In addition, a single transaction with a
large concession is under pressure on the price.
According Hainan West Asia ferroally's research, ferromolybdenum (60-70%Mo) was
quoted at USD 46.7-47.5/kg Mo FCA Rotterdam, compared with USD 47.5-48/kg Mo
FCA Rotterdam a week ago. At the same time, there are also transactions in the
market at lower prices. Some traders complained that the procurement activities in
other markets were much lower and that they needed to withdraw working capital,
so as to attract buyers to reduce their quotations to 45 dollars/kg Mo. A trader in
Europesaid:"Although the purchase activity has been greatly weakened, there are
still transactions. Now the question is whether China's price dynamics will have an
impact on the European market.".
Molybdenum oxide (57%Mo) fell to USD 19-19.2/lb Mo FCA Rotterdam (previously
USD 19.1-19.4/lb Mo FCA Rotterdam)
