Indian manganese alloy prices

The current quotation for Indian silicon manganese (65% Mn; 16% SI) is $1070-1100 per ton FOB (a decrease of $20 per ton on a weekly basis), and more suppliers are pushing prices towards the lower limit of this range. The price of alloy (60% Mn; 14% Si) has dropped from 920-950 USD/ton FOB to 905-930 USD/ton FOB. The price range for high carbon ferromanganese (75% Mn) is $1095-1120 per ton FOB (a week ago it was $1100-1160 per ton FOB).
Due to the low summer season, low number of inquiries and lack of transactions, Indian exporters continue to make concessions. Buyers from Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa are not very interested in purchasing ferromanganese (quantity not exceeding 100 tons), and it is expected that prices will further decrease. Currently, consumers are unwilling to reach a large number of transactions.
According to Hainan West Asia Group, since July 1st, due to the energy crisis, all  manganese alloy producers in Zambia, mainly focusing on the European market, have ceased production until December this year. It is expected that the market will lose 30000 tons of alloy per month. Therefore, buyers may soon enter the market to purchase more Indian alloys.
