The demand for electrolytic manganese in Europe is rapidly increasing
Driven by the recovery of the Chinese electrolytic manganese market and the continuous increase in shipping costs, European buyers have finally entered the market to replenish their inventory.
The price of electrolytic manganese (99.7% Mn) in the domestic European market ranges from $2150 to $2200 per ton FCA Rotterdam. In addition, many transactions this week were within the designated range. Market insiders believe that the main reason for the increase in procurement activities is that end consumers and local traders have not entered the spot market for procurement for a long time. In the current situation where alloy prices from China are rising again and delivery times are still relatively long (about 1.5 months), buyers have decided not to take risks.
The current quotation from China is 2150-2200 USD/ton CIF. According to Hainan West Asia Group, there has been a significant increase in the current quotation, but this is largely determined by the increase in shipping costs.
