European manganese flake prices remain stable

In the context of stable prices in China, European manganese flake suppliers' quotations remained steady this week. Today, the mainstream price for 99.7%min manganese flake in Europe is USD 2,090-2,150 per ton, warehouse in Rotterdam, unchanged from late last week. As suppliers are unwilling to lower prices, industry insiders expect mainstream prices for European manganese flake to remain stable next week.
"Today, our quotation for 99.7%min manganese flake is USD 2,050 per ton, warehouse in Rotterdam, with the minimum acceptable price being USD 2,000 per ton, unchanged from late last week," stated a European trader, adding that they failed to conclude any transactions today. Last week, they sold 50 tons at USD 2,000 per ton. The trader revealed that consumers, cautious about the price trend, prefer to consume their inventory rather than making urgent purchases. Given the stable prices from Chinese suppliers, they predict European manganese flake prices will remain unchanged over the next week. Based on a regular trading volume of about 100 tons per month, they estimate to sell around 100 tons this month, the same as last month. They currently have no inventory.
"Today, our quotation for 99.7%min manganese flake is USD 2,200 per ton, warehouse in Rotterdam, and we refuse to accept prices below USD 2,150 per ton, unchanged from late last week," stated another European trader. They sold 25 tons yesterday at USD 2,200 per ton and 200 tons late last week at USD 2,160 per ton. This trader disclosed that their consumers have sufficient inventory and have no intention of purchasing. However, given the stable prices in China, they predict that the mainstream price for European manganese flake will remain unchanged over the next week. Based on a typical trading volume of about 4,000 tons per month, this trader plans to sell about 4,200 tons this month, compared to 4,000 tons sold in May.
