China: Prices of ferrochrome remain unchanged, rising inventory may affect quotations

Due to sufficient inventory after the Spring Festival holiday, the price of ferrochrome in China remained unchanged this week.
Due to the ongoing price stalemate this week, the ferrochrome market remains deadlocked. The trading atmosphere and actual trading situation are average. Some suppliers sell at discounted prices due to additional inventory during recent holidays. Hainan West Asia Group suggests closely monitoring the latest quotation for ferrochrome.
At the same time, the chromium ore market remains stable with slight fluctuations, but the situation in the Red Sea remains concerning. Due to the high international shipping prices, chromium miners are trying to maintain price increases. Downstream manufacturers have reduced demand for chromium ore.
Looking ahead, the stainless steel market is still uncertain as some manufacturers are still on vacation. There are few low-priced resources available for selection, so manufacturers are cautious in stocking up.
As the holiday has just ended, it is expected that the market will remain stable in the near future, so it will take some time to better clarify prices.
