China: Ferroalloy imports increased by 13% in November 2023

1.In November 2023, chrome ore imports increased by 22%
China's chrome ore imports increased 22% to 1.81 million tons in November 2023, compared to 1.48 million tons in October 2023.
In November 2023, South Africa (1.51 million tonnes) became the leading exporter.
Meanwhile, imports for January-November 2023 rose 19 percent year-on-year to 16.34 million tons, compared to 13.69 million tons in the same period.
2.In November 2023, ferrochrome imports remained stable
China's ferrochrome imports were generally stable, with m-o-m decreasing by 2% to 300,000 tons in November 2023, compared with 310,000 tons in October 2023.
In November 2023, South Africa (0.17 million tons) was the leading exporter.
Imports in January-November 2023 rose 34% year-on-year to 3.02 million tonnes, compared with 2.26 million tonnes in the same period last year.
