Kazakhstan will build a new ferrosilicon factory

Kazakhstan plans to build a new factory with an annual output of 80000 tons of ferrosilicon in the city of Ekibastuz. The project was announced at a meeting of the National Economic Modernization Committee chaired by Prime Minister Arihan Smailov. The estimated investment amount of this project exceeds 113 billion tenge (245 million US dollars) and is expected to be completed by 2025.
According to the understanding of Hainan West Asia Group, since the government intends to increase the export of Kazakh ferroalloy products to major international markets such as Japan, South Korea, the United States, Turkey and Europe, it has decided to build new facilities.
It is worth noting that in 2022, Kazakhstan's total production of ferrosilicon reached 153400 tons, a year-on-year increase of 23.2%. At the same time, last year's alloy export volume was 123000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 4%.
