West Asia Observation Recently Indian Manganese Alloy:
According to the Indian partner of West Asia Import and Export Group: Indian manganese alloy suppliers continue to make concessions under the current sluggish demand, and buyers postpone purchases due to expected price drops. The quotation of silicomanganese 6516 dropped by US$15 to US$980 FOB within a week. Silicon-manganese 6014 fell by an average of US$20 to US$880 FOB. High carbon ferromanganese 75 is quoted at US$1,000 FOB.
The main reason for the price drop is that domestic and foreign demand is not good enough. There are no large transaction orders, and most of them are small-volume transactions. Buyers no longer accept the price of silicomanganese 6516 and ferromanganese above US$1,000 FOB. Indian manufacturers do not want to cut prices due to low profit margins.
Offers from Indian traders are at the lower end of the range and they expect further price cuts in the market. Prices fell in the local Indian market due to lack of support from local consumers. In the past week, the price of silicomanganese 6014 dropped to US$872 EXW, and that of ferromanganese 70%Mn dropped to US$908-921 EXW.
