Analysis of global silicon and manganese market price
According to Hainan West Asia Group observations. Weaker demand for manganese alloys due to domestic and export from India. Silicon manganese prices in India have fallen. Several low-priced deals drove down the price of silicon manganese. 60-14 silicon manganese export quotations decreased 2% week-on-week, 65-16 silicon manganese export quotations decreased 1% week-on-week.
There are three factors contribute to this phenomenon.
Global market bear market:Bearish sentiment persisted in the global silicon manganese market, which affected prices in the Indian domestic market.
Steel demand remains subdued:The Indian steel market is sluggish due to insufficient demand and volatile raw material prices. As a result, many customers tend to wait and see if spot demand and prices continue to weaken before stockpiling commodities.
Sales pressure:Global silicon manganese prices have been affected by inflation and declining liquidity, which has also affected domestic pricing. Buyers' intention to purchase at high prices is getting lower and lower, which naturally leads to increasing price pressure.
The price of silicon manganese in the Indian market is variable. Major mining companies such as Sandur already plan to increase manganese ore production in the next fiscal year to meet fast-growing domestic demand, which may also affect the price of silicon manganese in the future.
