Turkey will start post disaster reconstruction in March
According to Hainan West Asia research,Turkey will start building houses in earthquake stricken areas in March. It is planned to be completed in one year, and the height of the new building will not exceed three or four floors.
The construction of nearly 200000 houses for earthquake victims will begin in 11 provinces (Adana, Adeyaman, Diyarbakir, Gaziantep, Khathai, Kahramamaras, Kiris, Malatia, Osmaniya, Soniufa and Elaze) in March. All of these have been affected by earthquakes of magnitude 7.7 and 7.6, President Erdogan said at a briefing in the southern Khathai province.
He added that more than 1.68 million people affected by the twin earthquakes have met their needs for temporary accommodation. These earthquakes are concentrated in the province of Kahramamaras.
He added that all cities, including housing, workplaces, industry, agriculture and historical and cultural values, will be restored without any retrogression.
He said that the destroyed cultural relics, including mosques, tombs, churches, synagogues and other registered cultural assets, will be restored and rebuilt according to their historical background.
He added that the height of the new building would not exceed three or four floors.
