Price analysis of silicomanganese in various regions in China:

Inner Mongolia: The overall performance of the market is stable. In terms of production, the alloy factories are basically in total production, some are under maintenance, and the rest are in total production. Under the current cost, there is still a competitive advantage. Inner Mongolia has the lowest total settlement electricity price, and it is expected that there is still room for a price reduction. The cost of ore pulling and alloy transportation has not fluctuated much. Coke has continued to decline. With the weakness of coking coal, factories are still expected to reduce prices. Downstream steel casting has not yet started, and the retail price is $985-$993/ton.

Ningxia: The silicomanganese market is operating under pressure, the enthusiasm for quotations is not high, individual quotations are loose, and transaction prices have declined. The quotation for silicomanganese-manganese qualified blocks in cash is around 985.5 yuan/ton in the north, and 942 yuan/ton excluding tax in Henan. All parties have low price expectations, and it is expected that the ex-factory price of silicomanganese may further bottom out.

Guangxi: The silicomanganese market in Guangxi is weak and consolidated. After May 1st, manufacturers maintain the production situation before the festival, and the overall production is lower than last week. Some manufacturers have stopped production and reduced display due to furnace maintenance. Due to loss-making production, they have no intention to resume production for the time being. There are basically no retail quotations from manufacturers. The bidding of steel mills started in May, and some steel mills in South China have issued tenders. The price is expected to reach the factory at around $1029/ton.
